ANNOUNCEMENT TEXT
(FROM NIZIP DISTRICT ELECTION BOARD)
Within the framework of the procedures and principles set forth in the regulation prepared in accordance with the 3rd paragraph of Articles 83 and 84 of the Law on the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye No. 5174;
With the letter dated 17/08/2026 and numbered 2026/200 of the Nizip Commodity Exchange Presidency, it was requested to hold chamber council and body elections, and as a result of the examination, the system was seen to be in place;
1- Nizip Commodity Exchange organ elections will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Nizip Commodity Exchange building in Nizip district of Gaziantep province, and voting will start at 09:00 and end at 17:00. (Regulation article 11)
2- The list of members who are eligible to vote and be elected regarding the Stock Exchange Organ elections will be suspended for 3 full business days between 16-17-18 September 2026 at 08.00 on Wednesday and will be taken down on Friday, 18 September 2026 at 17.00, and objections to the lists can be made within these dates. (Regulation article 11)
3- Those who vote on the election day are required to prove their identities with a document issued by the chamber, stock exchange or official institution. (Regulation article 18)
4- Real persons who represent legal entities must submit an authorization certificate (additional statement RG 10/04/2021-31450) or registry certification from the Trade Registry Office within 90 days, stating that they have the authority to represent and take binding transactions in accordance with the articles of association for the registration of the legal entity they represent. A photocopy of the registration certificate submitted (Amended phrase 10/04/2021-31450) is delivered to the chairman of the ballot box committee where the vote was cast. Trade registry offices will be open on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the day of the election. (Regulation article 18)
5- An authorization certificate is issued for real person representatives of legal entities and branches in accordance with the following procedures;
- a) Authorization certificate requests are made by petition,
- b) An authorization certificate is issued for only one representative.
- c) If there are representatives with joint authority, the petition for which the authorization certificate will be issued is stated in the petition and signed by the joint authorities.
- ç) If there is more than one representative with individual authority, the petition can be signed jointly or by one of the representatives with individual authority. An authorization certificate is issued to the first applicant from individual authorities.
- d) Authorization documents must contain TR ID numbers in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Election Council dated 16/05/2012 and numbered 2012/262.
6- As a result of the objection and finalization periods of the Nizip Commodity Exchange chamber council election, the election of the Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors, General Assembly Delegates and Disciplinary Board Members will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, between 14.00-17.00, at the Nizip Commodity Exchange Meeting Hall.
7- The real persons and real person representatives of legal entities who will be candidates for these elections must meet the qualifications for election in Article 6 of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Election Regulations.
8- Members who will vote in these elections must have been registered to the chamber or stock exchange for at least two years as of the election date, in accordance with paragraph a of Article 83 of Law No. 5174, as amended by Article 134 of the Decree Law No. 694 dated 15/08/2017.
