NTB Başkanları Gaziantep'e Gazilik Ünvanı Verilişinin Yıl Dönümünü Kutladı

Nizip Commodity Exchange Chairman İbrahim Sarı and Assembly Speaker Ahmet Polat celebrated the 105th anniversary of the granting of the title of Gazi to Gaziantep on February 8, with a message. NTB Presidents said, "It is a great pride for Antep to receive this title," and included the following expressions in their messages; "The title of Gazi was given to Antep by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in 1921 and it was the crowning point of Antep's defense. Antep deserved this title to the fullest with its struggle and legendary defense.

February 8 is a historical day that ensures that our city, which is an example of heroism throughout the country, has the title of Gazi. It is an important day when 6317 heroic martyrs, men, women, young and old, are once again commemorated with mercy. Antep resisted the enemy for 11 months and did not give way to the enemy with its relentless struggle. One of the most meaningful words that summarizes Gaziantep is what Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said about Antep, "Every city, every town and the smallest Turkish village that says they are a Turk can take the people of Gaziantep as an example of heroism."

At this point today, Gaziantep continues to be an example to other cities with its breakthroughs and its constantly growing and developing economy. Continuing to work for the goals set by Türkiye, Gaziantep continues its struggle without getting tired and without fearing obstacles. Today, Gaziantep is a source of morale for the country with the breakthroughs it has made in the economic, commercial and cultural fields.

"With these feelings and thoughts, we celebrate the 105th anniversary of the title of 'Gazi' given to our city, and we commemorate all our homeland heroes who made Antep Gaziantep, especially the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms, with mercy, gratitude and respect."
