Nizip Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Sarı, Assembly Speaker Ahmet Polat and NTB Assembly Council visited the peanut market tradesmen and members of the exchange at their workplaces and held sectoral consultations.

The Nizip Commodity Exchange delegation visited the workplaces in the peanut market one by one and wished the tradesmen good luck. During the visits in a friendly atmosphere; Current sectoral issues such as peanut yield, stability in market prices, cost increases faced by producers and traders were discussed. Listening to the demands of the members first hand, NTB management also informed its members and tradesmen about the stock exchange's new projects to improve the pistachio trade.

President İbrahim Sarı: "We Are Always With Our Members"

Making evaluations after the visits, NTB Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Sarı said:

"Peanuts are one of the most powerful locomotives of the agricultural export strategy of not only our district and Gaziantep, but also our country. From being plucked from the tree to the last stage of processing, our peanuts have become one of the most strategic raw materials of the modern food industry. Our pistachio market tradesmen and stock market members, who hold such a great economic power, are actually shouldering a very large employment chain.

However, our producers and traders should not be left alone in the face of drought risks, periodic yield fluctuations and increasing production-input costs brought about by the global climate crisis. It is our primary duty to prevent artificial speculations in the market and to protect our local industrialists and tradesmen against import pressures.

As Nizip Commodity Exchange, we continue to develop projects for the digitalization of peanut trade, the spread of safe licensed warehousing systems and the inclusion of our product in the European market with stronger registrations. We take direct action with our economic management and banks to enable our tradesmen to access financing more easily and at affordable costs.

Increasing the trade volume of our small tradesmen and removing the bureaucratic and economic obstacles in front of them is only possible with common sense. As Borsa, we are always on the field, supporting our members, and we will continue to make each of our members' voices heard at the highest level in Ankara." He included his statements.

Pistachio market tradesmen expressed their satisfaction with the visit and expressed their gratitude to the Nizip Commodity Exchange management for the close attention and institutional support shown to their problems. The visit program ended with souvenir photographs taken.
